Spooky Beaver Update – 2-28-2019

Spooky Beavers, good news!  Our new agreement to continue maintaining  the trails at PWFP has been signed.  So you can return to your normal volunteer trail maintenance activities.

– Saturday – 2 Mar 18:  To prepare Chopawamsic Trail for its March
re-opening, there will be a crew worktrip this Saturday (2 March).  Meet at
the Turkey Run Ed Center parking lot by 9:00 am.  Please let me know if you
are planning to come, especially if you are a certified sawyer.  The plan is
to check and clear Chopawamsic Trail of winter blowdowns.  If we have enough folks, we’ll tackle other reported trail problems elsewhere in the park or you can check your assigned trail sections.

– Saturday – 9 Mar 19:  This is our regularly scheduled monthly worktrip.
Again, it’s likely we will need certified sawyers.  Normal showtime of 9:00
am at the PATC shed.

2.  CHECK YOUR TRAIL SECTION:  Please check your assigned trail section in
the next two – three weeks and let me know the condition and what is needed to be done, either by you or with the help of the crew or park staff.

3.  THANKS:  Drop me a note if you can make either of the upcoming work
trips, or if you have any questions.
